Abstract
Examining and criticizing the views of Othman al-Khamis on the behavioral approach of Imam Mahdi (A.S) in his written works, which have resulted in the difference between the Shiite’s Mahdi (A.S), the Muslims’ Mahdi (A.S) and the fear of Mahdi (A.S), is the subject this paper will discuss. This paper, with a descriptive-analytic approach is organized based on library-centered study and deals with the method of using narrations by one of the Wahhabi theorists in the field of Mahdism. Studies show that by using selective and fragmented narrations from the Shiite sources, he tries to prove that the Shiite’s Mahdi (A.S) is different from the Muslims’ Mahdi (A.S) and portrays the Shiite’s Mahdi (A.S) as a violent and ruthless figure. This paper, by enumerating his method and criticizing the analysis of the proposed material, clarifies that the Shiite believe that Imam Mahdi (A.S)’s approach and behavioral teachings are based on the behavioral teachings of the Prophet of God (pbuh) and his sunnah and the image of the Shiite’s Mahdi (A.S) depicted by Othman al-Khamis is not accepted and is rejected considering his behavioral approach.
