End-time events and the emergence of certain phenomena in the final period of human history, are among the concerns and common beliefs in religions. Given the predominant belief of Muslims in such events, especially the appearance of the Savior in the end times, some orientalists have focused on the source of these beliefs and have particularly expressed their views on the presence or absence of these beliefs in the Quran. The following text tries to enumerate and categorize the views of orientalists in this field. In the first step, Western views on the subject have been enumerated with exploratory and descriptive methods, and then with comparative methods, these views have been categorized into multiple types and finally these views have been analyzed and critically reviewed. According to the findings of this research, the views of Western researchers on this subject can be categorized into four classifications: denying any reference to these topics, referring to some topics other than the Savior, referring to the topic of the Savior but other than Imam Mahdi, and finally, referring to Mahdism. Some orientalists have also reflected the views of Muslim scholars and interpreters in this area, and a report on it has also been presented.
