This study applies a descriptive-analytical approach and library sources to explain the challenges of deviant Mahdavi movements, specifically the Sheikhia movement, within the framework of constructing the civilization based on the model government of the Islamic Revolution. It highlights the need to identify and resolve the challenges and the myths of Mahdism as a way to advance the causes of the Islamic Revolution. Thus, the current research describes and examines the challenges posed by deviant movements, namely the Sheikhia movement, to the development of the civilization of the Islamic Republic. The research results indicate that the Sheikhia movement has ideological incoherence at the macro level; at the intermediate level, it undermines ideals; and at the micro level, it undermines social cohesion, thereby frustrating realization of the civilization-building project of the Islamic model government. Suggested solutions are strengthening the discourse of civilization building, systematic criticism of deviant movements, public education, and fostering social cohesion.
