Sheikh Uthman Ibn Fodi, a Nigerian Sunni scholar (West Africa), founded an Islamic state roughly two centuries ago, which elevated his status to that of a world-renowned personality. A striking aspect of this personality is that he believed in the characteristics of Imam Mahdi (May God hasten his return) and the most significant signs of his return as laid down by Shi'a Islam. This essay has been written adopting a library-based approach, drawing upon the works of Uthman Ibn Fodi and examining evidence from material available. The most significant missions of this study are: analyzing Uthman Ibn Fodi's Mahdavi beliefs in the dimensions of reappearance certainty, Imam lineage, the unique qualities of the Imam that the world has no equivalent for, and the most significant reappearance signs, including Sufyani, Dajjal, Bayda's sinking, and the solar eclipse, all derived from his writings, and replying to the doubts of several individuals who have not endured such Mahdavi beliefs of Sheikh Uthman Ibn Fodi and reached the level of denial.
